100th Day of School Canned Food Drive Challenge
At Solana Ranch, our motto is “Inspiring Greatness in Tomorrow’s Leaders.” What better way to do that than by instilling in our students a desire to help others in need.
Solana Ranch students are having a “We Care Food Drive” to help San Diego families who are struggling to get enough food every day. Every class is being challenged to bring in 100 items of nonperishable food which will be donated to the Salvation Army Food Pantry in San Diego. The Food Pantry can use nonperishable food in cans, boxes, bags, or jars. Protein foods are always needed. (Pop-top cans are especially appreciated!) Here are some suggestions:
♥ Canned Foods: tuna, chicken, beef stew, ravioli, vegetables, soups, spaghetti sauce, pork & beans, fruit, canned meat
♥ Boxed Foods: cereal, raisins, oatmeal, macaroni & cheese, Top Ramen, instant potatoes, pasta, crackers
♥ Others: peanut butter, jelly, rice, beans
Bring all food donations to your classroom between: Wednesday, Jan. 27th - Thursday, Feb. 4th
Thank you for helping our students share and care! WE CARE ♥ FOOD DRIVE
