It's Green Ribbon Week!
This week let us renew our commitment to being mindful of our driving habits and surroundings, especially when we are dropping off and picking up students. We do our best to monitor crosswalks and we need your help. Please remember to:
- stay alert and focused.
- don't use your phone while driving
- be mindful of pedestrian traffic and give them the right of way
- be a defensive driver
- hold your temper (the children are watching)
- drive slowly through school zone and parking lot
Thank you for putting the safety of our little ones first.

ROAD TO SUCCESS
We have begun our online reading tracking program, Road To Success, here in the library. Your student should be coming home with a bookmark with their login information this week. Your student already has an account in RTS and has been assigned a classroom. All you have to do is login and add your own parent/guardian email to link to their student account. There are digital prizes that can be redeemed online, through the parent email linked to the student account, and I will be tracking their reading days for prizes here in the library. Our school recommends that each student reads at least 20 minutes each day outside of school. This is a great program to make reading fun!
Each account username is the letter S then their 4 digit student number. (Ex. S1234)
Each password is the student's grade level 4 times. (Ex. 1111 for a 1st grade student)
Kindergarten = 0000
1st grade = 1111
2nd grade = 2222
3rd grade = 3333
4th grade = 4444
5th grade = 5555
We are in need of VOLUNTEERS for the book fair. This is the link for volunteering at the fair. Cashiering, returning books, helping customers find books, and cleaning up the fair at the end. Thanks! We appreciate your help so much!
eWallet: This link is for the eWallet sign up. Parents and grandparents can add money to a child’s eWallet and that child can then come to the fair without needing a parent there. It’s a good way to teach budgeting/math skills too! It does require making an account. But it’s easy.

Utah Parent Center
Hello amazing Providence Hall parents!! Welcome back to school!! Another amazing year is well underway!! My name is Rochelle Thompson and I am your Utah Parent Center (UPC) Parent Advocate.
The mission of the UPC is to help parents help their children, youth and young adults with all disabilities to live included and productive lives as members of the community. We accomplish our mission by providing accurate information, empathetic peer support, valuable training and effective advocacy based on the concept of parents helping parents. I have a son with disabilities that attended a charter school and was part of their Special Education Program. I work exclusively with parents of special needs students that attend charter schools.
If you feel your child would qualify for special education, please reach out to me and I can help walk you through the evaluation process. Also, if you have questions about your Individualized Education Program (IEP) or your child’s 504 plan, I can help. I will work with you to be better prepared for school meetings (and I can also attend school meetings with you). I am here to give you support every step of the way. Please look for additional upcoming information regarding parent workshops that will be taught throughout the year!! Also, please visit our website at utahparentcenter.org and go to our events tab. You can join in on any workshop center wide as they all have a virtual option.
You have an amazing Special Education and Administration Team. Providence Hall’s administration values parents with children with disabilities by providing this additional level of assistance and support!!!
I am YOUR advocate! I am ready and willing to help!!
Look who had a birthday this week!
