Mrs. Baird's Teachers on the Rise
The Mrs Baird’s Teachers On The Rise program is returning to the Lubbock and South Plains area for our ninth school year. We are excited to honor more of our great teachers this year because we know great things happen in our classrooms every single day.
As we saw last spring, even though students may not be on campus, great teaching still takes place from a distance. With the start of the 2020-2021 school year looking a little different as well, the creativity and compassion from our teachers will truly show, and we want to hear about it.
Students and families to log onto www.MrsBTeacher.com or simply google Teachers On The Rise. Once you are at the nomination site, enter in a little information about yourself and then tell us why your teacher deserves special recognition. Perhaps your teacher makes you feel welcome and included from a distance. Or your teacher goes above-and-beyond to make sure no student is left behind on learning. These are stories we want to hear about. Tip: We know teachers are nice, funny, and great, but we want to know why they are nice, funny and great. Please be as detailed as possible on your nomination.
We will continue to honor three teachers every month this school year—one from elementary, one from middle school/junior high, and one teacher from high school. The teachers will receive a great prize packet from our sponsors including a $100 United Supermarkets gift card, a lunch for two to the Texas Tech Club, and an assortment full of Mrs. Baird’s goodies! The student or family who nominates a winning teacher also receives a $50 American Express gift card.
But we want to take it up a notch for September. In order to get the nominations coming in, everyone who nominates a teacher will be entered into a drawing for an additional $50 American Express gift card for the student AND Free Mrs. Baird’s Bread For A YEAR for the family. United Supermarkets is also including a great gift basket. What a great way to start the year!
We know the start of school will look a little different this year, so please encourage students and families to tell us the great things teachers are doing to make learning fun, effective, and memorable. They deserve the recognition, so tell us about them today at www.MrsBTeacher.com and remember, those who submit a nomination by September 30, 2020, could win Free Mrs. Baird’s Bread For A Year!
