GO COYOTES !!!!!
As this unique and challenging school year comes to a close, we are already hard at work preparing for next year.
As part of our planning process, we need each of our families to complete their enrollment verification for 2021-2022. We’re pleased to share that this process can now be done entirely online via ParentVue, and will allow you to simply confirm your child’s current enrollment information, as well as select your desired learning model (in-person or virtual) for next year. If you have already completed this process, it is not necessary to do again.
All you have to do is click here to start the verification process. We ask that all families please complete this verification process by June 1st.
If you have any questions or issues with the process, please reach out to your school site for assistance.

Thank you parents for your encouragement, making sure your student was rested and fed, and for getting them to school on time to take their tests. We appreciate you!
Did you know??? Seniors have 5 days left of school! If you have an Edgenuity course, you need to finish that by Friday at the latest in order to walk. Make sure you are ready for finals and have turned in your work...you CAN do this! There are many graduation related activities coming up so be sure to watch your emails and pay attention to those details. We can't wait to watch you walk across the stage and accept the diploma you have worked so hard for. We are proud of YOU!
In order to address the unprecedented drop in student postsecondary enrollment in Arizona, Helios Education Foundation, College Success Arizona, and other community partners are implementing an initiative to re-engage students in their education and offer an incentive scholarship to eligible students.
Colleges and universities in Arizona are experiencing significant declines in student enrollment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, especially among first generation, low-income, and underserved students.
Nationally, community college enrollment has fallen by 9.5 percent this year. In addition, Postsecondary enrollment for first-time freshmen (High School class of 2020) declined nearly 21.7 percent nationwide. In Arizona, statewide community college enrollment is down more than 16 percent.
“In order to continue on track to reach our statewide Achieve60AZ goal for postsecondary attainment, we must address this drop in enrollment and re-engage students on the path to pursuing a college degree,” said Paul J. Luna, President and CEO, Helios Education Foundation. “That why Helios Education Foundation began working with our partners to identify a way to help the Class of 2020 – the most affected by the impact of COVID-19 – to engage in postsecondary education.”
Helios Education Foundation and College Success Arizona are proud to announce the formation of the Helios Adelante Scholars Initiative which provides a $1,000 incentive scholarship to students who graduated from high school in May of 2020 but did not enter a college or other postsecondary program. The $1 million initiative will help ensure more students in Arizona are able to pursue a postsecondary degree.
Eligible students will be awarded a one-time award of $1,000. The funds may be used for tuition, books, or room and board at any accredited higher education institution. In addition, through this initiative, students may be eligible for institutional aid that is typically available only to students who enter college the semester after high school graduation.
To qualify for the scholarship, a student needs to be entering college for the first time, be a graduate from an Arizona high school from the class of 2020 and, enroll in an accredited college or university at least half-time, complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or indicate non-FAFSA eligibility, and complete a scholarship application.
“We are pleased to be partnering with Helios Education Foundation and other community organizations to help implement this initiative,” said Rich Nickel, President and CEO of College Success Arizona. “We are ready to help provide the support they need to take advantage of this opportunity and begin their college education.”

In order to address these issues and ensure more students are entering college, Helios Education Foundation and College Success Arizona – along with other community partners – are implementing the Helios Adelante Scholars Initiative which provides a $1,000 incentive scholarship to 2020 graduates to encourage them to enter college.
ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for the scholarship, a student needs to be entering college for the first time, be a graduate from an Arizona high school from the class of 2020, enroll in an accredited college or university at least half-time, complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or indicate that they are non-FAFSA eligible, and complete a scholarship application with College Success Arizona.
- Eligible students will be awarded a one-time, non-renewable award of $1,000. The funds may be used for tuition, books, or room and board at any accredited higher education institution.
- In addition to receiving the $1,000 incentive scholarship, students may be eligible for additional institutional aid. College Success Arizona will help identify those opportunities and help students pursue that aid.

PROMISE FOR THE FUTURE
Dear Pinal County High Schools,
Just a reminder that we are no longer requesting senior lists for the Promise for the Future Scholarship program. However, we are inviting your graduating seniors who submitted their Promise Pledge in their 8th grade year to visit our Central Arizona College (CAC) webpage at www.centralaz.edu/finaid . Under the Scholarship information heading, students will find the Promise for the Future tab. There, students will be able to review the guidelines and will be able to directly access the application form for the Promise for the Future scholarship program.
Students are to complete and submit the online CAC Scholarship Application. The form will ask Promise questions, and ask students to write an essay regarding their educational goals. Combining the CAC Scholarship application with the Promise for the Future scholarship provides Promise students the opportunity to be considered for other CAC scholarships.
In addition to the form, students are required to upload their high school transcript onto their CAC student portal. The high school transcript allows us to verify and determine eligibility to the Promise scholarship program. Students are also required to complete and submit a 2021-2022 FAFSA application.
Once the CAC Financial Aid Office determines eligibility, we will email students the Promise Scholarship acceptance letter outlining enrollment requirements.
Feel free to visit our webpage and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
