Asset Builder of the Month Ben Carpenter
Ben Carpenter is a fifth grade student at Frank Nicholas Elementary and is our choice for Asset Builder of the Month. Ben exemplifies many of the 42 Developmental Assets. At home, he has a lot of family support from his mom and dad (Asset #1). He is responsible for cleaning his room, making his bed, and taking care of his three dogs, three fish, and one cat (Asset #30). At school, Ben is respectful and caring (Asset #26). He is honest (Asset #29) and turns his homework in on time each week (Asset #23). He was a member of the Junior Youth Leadership Board in third grade (Asset #9) and has done Math Pentathlon in both third and fifth grade. Ben plays basketball, football, and soccer in the Wee Pirates league (Asset #18) and also was on one of the district basketball teams. In his spare time, he likes to read funny chapter books like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. (Asset #25). Ben’s favorite asset is Grit (Asset #42) because, “I have to have Grit to play sports and do all the things I do.” Ben’s plan for the future is to go to college and get his Master’s Degree in robotics, but his ultimate dream would be to play football in the NFL. (Asset #40). Congratulations, Ben, for being our Asset Builder of the Month.
Asset Builder of the Week - Hayden Midkiff - Asset #40 - Positive View of Personal Future
Hi! My name is Hayden Midkiff, and I won asset builder of the week for Positive View of Personal Future back in February. When I grow up I want to be a pet store owner. To do that I need support from my family and friends which I definitely have. I plan on going to the University of Dayton to get a degree in business. But before that happens I have to work hard and graduate from high school. I know my future looks great!
