Definition Of Gender Role

gender roles are perceived set of behavioral norms usually associated with males and females in a given social group or system. They allow individuals to refer to certain attitudes or behaviors that class a persons stereotypical identity. Gender roles very among different society in cultures, though creativity or time may cause these roles and values to change.

Gender Roles and Disney Movies

Flynn Rider from Tangled because they make him handsome, strong, and not typically smart.

In Disney princess movies, they make the princesses is flawless, good singers, perfect lives, and like to do chores.

Examples: Cinderella, Aladdin, Tiana

The men usually sing about what it means to be a man. They are usually skilled, have suave, and have good hair.

Examples: Beauty in the beast: Gaston, Mulan: Ill make a man out of you.
