Something to think about...
"A combination of reading aloud, choral reading, listening to students read, and reading performance is implemented over a period of several days. Student first listens to the teacher read a poem or other text t the class. Then they read the text chorally, then pair and practice reading the text with a classmate and finally perform for an audience--either another class at their grade level or a class of younger or older students."
When I read this, my first thought was... "okay, tell me something new!" But then I decided what could I take from that and to help me "think" of something new. So here is something to think about... If the strategy above encourages fluency, how might we use..or maybe extend... this strategy with the readers that we work with?
