Neuropathy is neuro, which means something related to the nerves, and pathy, pain in a certain part of the body, which in this case is the hands and feet.

You may ask, what causes peripheral neuropathy. Peripheral neuropathy can be caused from drinking a lot of alcohol. Some medications may give you peripheral neuopathy (especially ones that treat cancer) and many other causes. Symptoms of peripheral neuropathy can be sensitive skin in vibration, pain, or being sensitive in temperature. Other symptoms include muscle weaknesses. Treatments for this is taking gabapentin or other pain reliever medicines.
