Colubia's Christmas

Christmas must-haves

In Columbia, as soon as December hits, they have to have their lights, a tree, red and white candles, and a nativity scene.

For most of Columbia, they celebrate Catholic traditions. The novena is a very critical part of Christmas for them. On December 16th, and each night until the 24th. They all gather together with their families and pray a novena, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

no Santa?

Children in Columbia write a letter to the baby Jesus, instead of Santa. The letter usually goes into the nativity, where it mysteriously disappears.

other traditions
