For students, It can be hard to find time to balance out work, home, and college. There are always ways that can help with managing your time in order to be successful with school. One way to manage time is to set goals. Goal setting during a sememster is very crucial. When you know what your goals are, you are more likely to prioritze those goals, and you will be less likely to procrasinate.

Types of goals

There are three types of goals. There is short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals. An exmaple of a short-term goal would be studying notes every week. A medium-term goal would be achieving a 90% in their criminal justice class, and a long-term goal would be getting into Law School. Set goals for yourself and you will achieve academically.

Controlling procrastination

Procrastination is a huge problem while in school. We need to learn how to not procrastinate and not to put things off till last minute. Disorganization, fear, and perfectionalism, are just a few ways to put off work that needs to be done. If you find yourself doing these things, we need to learn how to adjust our ways so we are not wasting time procrastinating. If you fix the problem, you will be more successful with your studies.

Coming up with a schedule

Coming up with a schedule is one great way to balance your time. You can use a planner or a calendar to write down important dates that are coming up such as assignments for school, work related projects, and personal life activities. This allows you to plan ahead of time and if changes need to be made, you have enough time to make those changes and adjust to those changes. This is will save you time, and open up more time for things that need to be done.
