What is it?
Vitamin B6 is a water soluble vitamin. It can be found naturally in various different types of foods and is even found in the form of a vitamin supplement.
Function in our bodies?
The vitamin serves multiple purposes:
*maintains normal nerve function
*produces antibodies needed to combat against diseases
*makes hemoglobin, bringing oxygen to the red blood cells
*helps break down protein
*maintains glucose at a regulated amount

*Deficiency in B6 can cause:
-a form of anemia (due to lack of oxygen to red blood cells)

Deficiency in B6 is not common in the United States.
