We'll change into uniforms and load busses starting at 11am. The weather looks to be lower 40s --- I recommend dressing with a few layers underneath your uniform! Please remember ALL parts of the uniform including gloves, berets, black socks, and shoes.

The parade starts at 1:04pm - we are located in the second division, and should be right around the halfway point of the parade. Following our performance we'll meet up with the busses and head back to Breen. After putting uniforms away, students are free to go.

Uniforms will be cleaned following this performance - all belongings must be taken out of pockets!

Symphonic Band - SUPERIOR Rating!

OMEA Recap

The Symphonic Band traveled to Elyria High School on Friday to participate in the Ohio Music Education Association's Large Group Adjudication Contest. Having prepared three pieces since January, the culmination is this performance. The boys did really, really well, earning an overall Superior Rating, the highest possible. All of the judges offered critical comments which we can learn from; in the coming days we will listen to all three judges and their advice to make us a better band.

Thank you to the students and parents for making this competition possible. I understand Friday night is less than exciting, however it's a great learning opportunity for us all, and allows us to showcase our ability to a nice, receptive audience.

Another special shoutout to the Band Boosters, and in particular Mrs. Petters, Mrs. Hiti, and Mrs. Morales for their help setting up the dinner all the boys were able to enjoy beforehand!

Flag Corps Tryouts

Please help us spread the word! We're hoping to see the squad grow in size and talent over the next few months. Attached to the original e-mail is the flier sent to all of the area grade schools. Still, word of mouth is the best method to get girls to audition!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Seryak or Mr. Hamlin.

The dates are as follows:

Flag Clinic - April 14th

Dance Clinic - April 16th

Tryouts - April 21st

2015/2016 Schedule

The FULL, tentative, schedule is available online at the band website. All of the football games are set, as is the Parma Band Spectacular. Concert dates are subject to change, but I'd say there is a 90% chance they will remain as listed. I encourage you to plan ahead!!

Please note there are currently ACT/SATs scheduled for October 10th and 24th. I would do everything I can to avoid these dates, as day games are likely. The St. Xavier game will be 2pm, and the Assumption College one has yet to be decided upon.

Did I Miss Anything?

Please let me know if you have any questions!
