Claude Moore Community Builders
We still have ten openings for applications
Loudoun Cares Youth Volunteer Program
Due to the expansion of this year's program, there are an additional ten (10) openings for new applicants in the Claude Moore Community Builders program. Please encourage any student you feel would be a candidate.
So far, the following Loudoun County High Schools are represented:
Broad Run, Freedom, Loudoun County, Loudoun Valley,
Potomac Falls, Rock Ridge, Tuscarora, Woodgrove, Middleburg Academy
We would like to see every Loudoun County public and private school represented this year. Please email suek@loudouncares.org if you have a candidate who still needs to apply.
This program is a youth volunteer initiative, with approximately 25 youth being accepted into the program each year. Students must be rising sophomores or older.
Our youth gain valuable experience through individual volunteer placements with nonprofit organizations, group projects that benefit the community, ongoing training in team building, leadership development, and other core competencies that are beneficial for both future volunteer and employment opportunities. All of last year's program participants have received the President's Volunteer Service Award.
We would greatly appreciate you promoting this wonderful opportunity to family and friends who have a high school student in Loudoun County. The application packets can be found on the following link to our website, http://www.loudouncares.org/what-we-do/claude-moore-community-builders/ . Questions can be directed to Executive Director, Sue Khalil, 703-669-2351, suek@loudouncares.org.
Please email suek@loudouncares.org if you have a candidate who would like to apply.
