News From Room 211
Dear Families,
We've had a very busy few weeks - students built see-saws to explore force and motion with the help of Bricks4Kidz, participated in the Valentines Dance, enjoyed a Valentines Day celebration (thank YOU, parents, for all the yummies), participated in the Digital Learning Day learning to use google classroom to view and work on independent assignments, and celebrated the Chinese New Year by viewing a parade, This week we introduced the prefix of the week and played Jeopardy to prepare for a science test. Whew!
This upcoming week is going to continue being busy. I hope you can join Dr. Baldwin, Asheville City School's Superintendent, for Tea and Talk at Claxton on February 29 from 7:30am-9:00am. On Wednesday, March 2, we'll be celebrating Read Across America Day. Students are encouraged to dress as a favorite book character! Friday, March 4, third grade will be attending a Southern Conference Basketball game at UNCA. If anyone is available to chaperone, please let me know. A permission slip will be going home Monday.
Thanks, again, for all you do for our class and all the children. I don't say it enough, but your support is greatly appreciated.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Holly
