Digital Footprint
Be aware, not square
Digital Footprint
One's unique set of digital activities, actions, and communications that leave a data trace on the Internet or on a computer or other digital device and can identify the particular user or device
Digital footprint on the computer
Every person has a digital footprint. A digital footprint goes beyond just what you past on social media, and what you say on the web. Those pesky ads that pop up on your news feed on Facebook, those are from previous searches that the computer remembers, and thinks you are still interested in.
Digital footprint off the computer
When you think of a digital footprint, you would normally think of it only on the computer. Actually it goes off the computer as well. If you look at the coupons that the cash register spits out, you will see they are coupons that are for what you bought previously in that store.
Take the coupon
Usually if you look at the coupon it will have something that you have just bought to see if you want to buy it again or need it again at a discounted price.
Cash
Use cash if you want the store to stop remembering what you have bought previously.
2 tips for a better digital footprint
- If you don't want the store looking and remembering what you bought, then pay in cash because cash is untraceable.
- Don't search or go on websites that you wouldn't want to show your pastor.
