- Innovation: We will continue innovation block #1. Our class will be going to the Mrs. Barnes' Classroom and work on design thinking.
- Language Arts -We will continue our unit, Ways Characters Shape Stories. The essential question we will continue to explore is: How do our actions influence our lives? This week students will read The Tale of King Midas: A Greek Myth. Reading skills we will be practicing include key events and summarizing, distinguishing shades of meaning, nonliteral language and analyzing character traits and their influence on a story. - Math -We will be reviewing place value, rounding to the nearest 10 and nearest 100, addition and subtraction strategies, and creating and understanding scaled graphs. We will be taking our unit 1 math test October 4th and 5th.
- Writing -Students will write an explanatory report explaining genre features of a myth in our text, King Midas.
