PLEASE JOIN US FOR OUR NEXT PTO MEETING MARCH 17TH AT 9:30 AM
On Monday, January 30th, we had a PTO meeting! Here is a recap of what we discussed. Thank you to everyone who was able to join us. Our next meeting is Friday, March 17th at 9:30am. We would love to have you join us in person or online via GoogleMeet. The link is here and below in the PTO Event.
To help our PTO gain traction, we've created an online PTO "hub" titled My School Community using an app called Notion. Take a look to see if there are small ways that you might like to become involved to help grow a sustainable PTO. No amount of participation is too small! The hub will be dynamic and ready for your ideas and input.

About Marnita’s Table
At Marnita’s Table, we seek to close gaps across difference by making Intentional Social Interaction the new pattern for society where Indigenous, people of color, the disenfranchised, the poor, the unheard, the LGBTQ+ and anyone who is normally left out of community decision making is automatically included and valued at the policymaking and resource-sharing table. Experts at social capital building, we’ve welcomed over 200,000 guests to more than 1,000 different tables across the U.S. and internationally to find common ground while breaking bread – we bring people together to create meaningful change and more equitable systems. CAHOOTS Program Summer Workbook and Pen Pals for Students Entering Grades K-6 in SY23-24
CAHOOTS is a self-led summer program that keeps academic skills sharp through fun and grade-appropriate workbooks. Developed with SPPS teachers and students, families like the program is self-led and can be done at home with the motivation of a pen pal. With fun math and language arts workbooks, memorable CAHOOTS characters, and activities that encourage creative problem-solving through thinking, drawing, writing, and taking action, students are fully engaged in their learning. CAHOOTS is offered on a sliding fee scale, so families pay what they can - even if that amount is $0. This program is for students who will be in grades K-6 in the fall of 2023.
Contact norah.harper-godderz@spps.org with questions, or direct families to spps.org/cahoots for more information and registration.
