East Pennsboro School District: Where Relevance and Passion Inspire SUCCESS!
Welcome to the 2021-22 school year! We are eagerly preparing to welcome our high school students back for five days a week in-person instruction! The building has been very busy this summer with learning opportunities, cleaning, renovations, and staff development! Please read this newsletter carefully for some important dates regarding the upcoming school year and opening procedures.
We CANNOT wait to see you for the first day of school on Monday, August 23rd!
Important Reminders! Main entrance doors open at 7 AM every day for students. Students must enter through the main entrance at the beginning of the school day and proceed into the cafeteria and/or auxiliary gym. All students must be seated when in the cafeteria/auxiliary gym unless purchasing food or throwing it away. Students will be dismissed to their first-period classrooms at 7:20 AM.
*Students MUST be in their first period at 7:30 AM. If students are not in their first period by the time the 7:30 AM bell rings, students will be given an unexcused tardy and will need to sign in at the main office. Character Strong at EPHS
Students will be expanding on the lessons they began last year with their Advisory teachers and creating deeper bonds with the students and teachers they were working with last year. At East Pennsboro School District, we truly value educating the whole child and putting our students' social and emotional health on just as high a priority as their academic growth. We will be altering our Thursday academic schedule weekly to implement more focused time for this important curriculum. This will provide dedicated time for our teachers to deliver these critical lessons to their students without interruption. Students will also not miss their traditional Advisory period where they can receive remediation, enrichment, and music opportunities.
Thank you for your continued support as we educate the whole child. As always, if you have questions or concerns about your child's mental health, please reach out to your student's school counselor.
