Weekly Update for September 11th - 15th

Good afternoon! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We are looking forward to a great, full week with fantastic opportunities for our students. We are excited to see our students each day of this first full week of school.
We can't wait to see you on Tuesday, September 12th at 5:45 pm at the Herculaneum High School theater for our Blackcat Family Engagement event. This event will provide support with the technology we use in the district. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to learn more about a new tool called Parent ProTech that's designed to help kids stay safe online. Please see the information on this newsletter for more details. We hope you'll join us for this event!
Our students did a great job last week on their first iReady diagnostic. Thank you for the support! We are excited about the data this diagnostic provides as it helps us prepare for future instruction.

BLACKCAT FAMILY ENGAGEMENT NIGHT - LEARN MORE ABOUT TECHNOLOGY
Save the date for September 12, 2023 at 5:45 pm. We will be sharing information to help our families learn more about the technology tools we use in the Dunklin R5 school district. Families will be able to learn more about Infinite Campus, Google Classroom, and a new tool designed to keep kids safe online called Parent ProTech. We are excited about this free event, so be watching Facebook and each building's Newsletters for more information. We hope to see you on September 12th!

SENN-THOMAS STAFF SPOTLIGHTS
This week's Staff Spotlights are Ms. Metcalf and Mr. Brock. Both are new teachers at STMS this year, but Ms. Matcalf was a paraprofessional prior to this school year. She is also the JV Volleyball coach at HHS. Mr. Brock is new to both STMS and HHS this year as he is the choir director for both schools. We are so glad to have them as part of the STMS staff!
