School starts on Tuesday, August 14

Complete your Los Angeles Valley College application.

All Humanitas Magnet students must complete a Los Angeles Valley College application and turn in the necessary paperwork.

Step 1: Complete your Los Angeles Valley College application.

All Humanitas Magnet students will have concurrent enrollment at Los Angeles Valley College. Even 9th graders will have the opportunity to earn college credit this year!

All Humanitas Magnet students need to complete the Los Angeles Valley College application before school starts. Even if you don't think you will take a LAVC class this semester, it's still very important for you to complete the application and required paperwork.

The process is simple. You just need to go to LAVC.edu and click on "apply." You'll then create an OpenCCC account.

You'll receive an acceptance email from LAVC about a week after you complete the application. You'll also receive your Student ID number. You're going to need your Student ID number over and over again. Screenshot it, email it to yourself, and write it down somewhere safe!

Step 2: Required forms

Everyone must complete the K-12 form, the FERPA Release form, and the Student Expectations agreement. For the first two, you will need your Los Angeles Valley College Student ID number. This will be emailed to you about a week after you complete your LAVC application.

The following forms were included in the packet you received at orientation. If you already returned the packet, there's nothing else for you to do!

If you haven't already, please fill out the following forms and bring them to Grant between August 8 and August 10. You can give them to Melissa Mata or Alaina Kommer. If we aren't there, just put them in our mailboxes.
