Literacy Remediation
for High School Students
Spring 2015 Session
On a quarterly basis, DePaul Graduate students provide literacy remediation services. We currently have openings for the Spring 2015 high school student session. Specific reading and writing needs are addressed through remedial reading instruction. Each student is given an instructional plan that outlines goals for the remediation sessions.
Curricular measures are used to monitor students’ progress on a weekly basis. At the end of the session, a written report detailing the instructional interventions used and student’s progress is provided.
Clinicians are licensed teachers enrolled in Language and Specialized Instruction in the College of Education. Clinicians are supervised by faculty. Services are $30/hour. The total cost of the winter session is $180. Limited low-fee options are available for qualifying families.
