Getting the Class of 2022 Ready for SHS:

SHS has been busy getting the Class of 2022 ready to transition to the high school. This past week, teachers, principals and students went to the middle school to talk about high school choices.

Next week on November 20 and 21, 8th graders will be coming to SHS for a tour that highlights freshman elective choices. Then on November 29 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, all 8th grade students and parents will be invited to SHS for a Spaghetti Supper so they can meet high school staff and learn about course selection for freshman year.

This is always an exciting time of the year as SHS welcomes next year's incoming freshman.

Cross Town Rivalry Heat up again this Week

The Warriorettes and Warriors will be renewing their rivalry with their County foes the Austin Lady Eagles and Austin Eagles. The Warriors will host the Eagles on Wednesday November 22 with a JV tip time of 6 pm. This will be the 133rd meeting between the programs. The Warriors lead the all time series 99-33. The teams split two meetings last year with the Warriors winning the Thanksgiving week matchup at Austin 62-61 and Austin avenging that loss with a 77-61 victory in the Scott County Invitational at Meyer Gym. Senior Immunizations

Attention Senior students and parents: Indiana State Law requires students in the 12th grade to provide documentation of receiving a second meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine if their first MCV4 vaccine was given before the age of 16. Students who received the first meningococcal vaccine on or after their 16th birthday have met the state requirements.

All colleges require students to be up to date on their immunizations prior to college acceptance. Please send this documentation into the school as soon as possible. If your student needs the vaccine, the local health department or your child's physician can administer the injection.
