Students that participate in this 8-week virtual program will:
Receive appropriate mentorship to help guide them in their specific science-based interests (biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, etc.) This mentorship will come from undergraduate/graduate researchers, as well as from faculty at the UTSA to help establish professional contacts in their future field.
Partake in seminars given by university faculty of active research labs and participate in research training/information sessions.
The Perry Initiative: Building the Pipeline for Women in Engineering and Medicine
Participants will hear from women leaders in these fields and dive into online orthopedic simulations and biomechanics experiments. Additional information can be found on our website: https://perryinitiative.org/pve/
Most sessions are available to participants in any location, but some sessions are for a focused geographic area. Dates and details for each session can be found at https://perryinitiative.org/calendar/
