The Double Creek Courier
Week of September 18
Principal's Letter
What a fun week we have coming up!
We will have our first float for the Homecoming parade on Wednesday evening and then we look forward to the game on Friday. Our theme this year is "Start with Hello!"
Speaking of Homecoming, we would love to see all of our students in Jarrell Blue on Wednesday and Friday. Let's support the Cougars! However, we ask that students do not wear mums or garters to school during the week. Let's save those for Friday night.
Thursday night will be busy with Literacy Night, Book Fair, and the PTO meeting. I can't wait to see all of you there!
Go Cougs!

Attendance Matters!
As we all know, cold and flu season are upon us. We wish for all our students to stay healthy always. However, we understand there could come a time when they are not feeling too well and need to stay home. Please read the following information regarding our attendance policy. More information is also available in the Jarrell Independent School District Parent and Student Handbook under Absences/Attendance.
Regular school attendance is essential for a student to make the most of his or her education to benefit from teacher led and school activities, to build each day's learning on the previous day's, and to grow as an individual.
When a student is absent, the student must bring a note to the attendance office within three days of the absence. After three days, parent notes may not be accepted and the absences will be considered unexcused. A maximum of three (3) parent notes per semester will be accepted as excused.
Daily Deadlines
In order for our systems to run smoothly and safely, please observe the following daily deadlines times.
