Principal Message

Despite the crazy year we had this year- kids learned! And I am so proud of them! I knew that good things were happening in our classrooms (and online) everyday but I didn't have the data to back it up. After our spring i-ready data, I am happy to share that now we have the data to back it up!

As a school we had 110% growth in reading and 95% in growth in math. Both of those scores are AMAZING!

All of this growth is a testament to the hard work that our teachers put into their students every single day- thank you teachers! But it also is a testament to the hard work our students put into their own learning this year and the support that you as parents provided at home everyday.

A big thank you to everyone for their hard work during this incredibly strange year we had.

LOST And FOUND

Hi Parents,

It is that time of the year again where we are putting out all the 'Lost and Found' we have gathered since winter break. From Monday, May 10th until Monday, May 24th we will have all the lost and found on tables in the front lobby. Parents are welcome to come into the front lobby and go through all the items. Make sure to stop by if you are here for grade level Field Day. After May 24th, we will be donating all 'Lost and Found' items.

PTO News

The CCE staff has requested that the PTO purchase an instructional audio system for the school. Because it is a significant expense, the PTO wants to ensure all parents have the opportunity to provide input. Staff presented information about it at a recent PTO meeting - the pdf of the presentation can be found at https://coyotecreekpto.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/Instructional-Audio.pdf

End of the Year Medication Pick-Up

Mark Your Calendars

If your student has medication in the health room, please plan to pick up the medication on May 24th or May 25th. These will be the only days that you will be able to pick up your student's medication. The school cannot store medications in the health room over the summer. All medications that are not picked up on these dates will be disposed of, expired or not.

Help Our School Win $500

Reading can be a wonderful experience. Where else can you go anywhere in the world, learn about new things or lose yourself in a magical story all from the comfort of your home (well, without being in front of a computer screen). Not only will your children read this summer, but Coyote Creek has the opportunity to win $500! Sign up for the Douglas County Libraries' summer reading program. The school with the most sign ups by July 31, 2021 wins $500.

Our "Simple Science" summer program kicks off on Wednesday May 26. The summer hours are 7am-5:30pm. Each day we will be focusing on a different theme and completing a simple science experiment. 3rd Grade Teacher

Full time Kindergarten Registration for 2021-2022

Coyote Creek offers FREE full time kindergarten for all students. We no longer have part time kindergarten, and the state funds Full time kindergarten for all Colorado kids!! Registration for the 2021-2022 school year will be ongoing. Registration packets are now available on the CCE website. If you don't have printing capabilities packets will also be available at the front office prior to registration. Please share this information with any neighbors who do not yet have students in school.
