Carver Middle School Newsletter
August 12, 2019
Principal's Greeting
Greetings Carver Community,
Thank you very much to the communities that invited our Carver MS administrative team to participate in National Night Out events last weekend. It was great to see so many of our parents and students!
A few very important documents are included in the newsletter this week. Below is an electronic copy of my 2019 welcome back letter. A paper copy of the letter was mailed to all Carver MS parents last week. The Chesterfield County Schools Parent handbook is also linked below. Student schedules will be released tonight at 7 pm. Online fee payment will be available on 8/13/19.
Please feel free to reach out to the office with any questions or concerns as we approach the start of the new school year.
Thank you!
Anthony J. McLaurin, Ed.D.

Message from Nurse Natalie
Hello Carver Cougars-
I am super excited to be returning to the Carver Family as your school nurse for the 2019-2020 school year! Some of you with older children may remember me as I was the nurse at Carver from the 2012-2016. For the last 3 years I have been serving Falling Creek middle school.
As a friendly reminder, please if your student has a health condition such as a life threatening allergy, asthma, seizures, diabetes or any other condition that may require care during the school day you must provide the clinic with an up to date health service plan for your student. Each school year a new plan is needed. Copies of health plans can be found on the CCPS website via the family> health and safety > forms link
Also, don’t forget to check with your doctor about immunizations such as the TDAP that are now required by the VA state law for all 7th graders. This is a change from previous years.
I look forward to getting to know many of you and your children this school year! As your school nurse, it is my privilege to support and advocate for our students, staff and families! I want every student to have the opportunity to be safe, healthy and ready to learn!
Please let me know how I can help you or your student!
Be well,
Nurse Natalie
