NOTE FROM THE PRINCIPALS
Thank you parents and Skaggs PTA! You just know how to make us feel appreciated and loved! You went above and beyond with your generosity, thoughtful gifts, food deliveries, flowers, and much more on this Teacher Appreciation Week. I can speak for all of our Skaggs staff that we are recharged and awed at your care for us. Without you and our awesome Stars, our school just would not be the same. Thank you for starting the end of this pandemic year STRONG!

We appreciate you making time for our last distribution day. Grade-level specifics will be coming in your child's teacher email. Field Day
To make up for the missed Field Day last year, we are making it up with a very special one this year. Safe, yet fun activities are planned for both F2F and School@Home students. Details from your child's teacher will be coming soon.
Classroom Assignments for 2021-2022
It is now time to think about teacher assignments for the upcoming school year.
Assigning students to classrooms is a very detailed and time-intensive process for both teachers and administrators. We look at each child individually as we place him/her in a class for the following year. Many factors are considered, including student learning styles, teaching styles, personalities, amount of structure needed, emotional needs, etc. I share this information with the hope that this deeper understanding allows you to have trust in this process. You can be assured that we will be extremely diligent in carefully considering every aspect as we form classes for the 2021-2022 school year.
If you would like to share a special request regarding the class in which your child is placed next year, please know that we will NOT accept requests for a specific teacher. Instead, please submit, in writing, information about the type of teacher who you feel would be the best match for your child by tomorrow, Friday, May 7, 2021. Your request can be emailed to karen.lee@pisd.edu.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Lee & Mrs. James
