The Richardson Review
November 20th, 2022
No School: Wed. 11/23, Thurs. 1/25 & Fri. 11/26 Classes will resume on Mon. 11/28
Dear Richardson Students & Families,
It’s the time of year when many of us reflect on the things, big and small, for which we are thankful. Research shows that focusing on gratitude can have a positive impact on our lives.
Here are some of the things I am most grateful this year...
- I am grateful for Richardson's students. Every day you demonstrate kindness, curiosity and determination. Our staff is energized each day by seeing your facings, hearing your laughter and witnessing you grow academically. You are all truly amazing!!!
- I am grateful for Richardson's families. As a parent of young children, I can relate to how hard it is to balance family and work responsibilities. Thank you for your flexibility, understanding and dedication to support your children and the school.
- I am grateful for Richardson's staff. You are passionate about meeting the needs of each and every student, you are knowledgeable and reflective. You develop a love of learning in our students and you make sure we have some fun too!!!
I give thanks to you all for making Richardson an AMAZING school...and for personally giving me so many reasons to be grateful each day!
Warmly,
Mrs. Houde (pronounced "hood")
Please remember to send winter gear with your child(ren) each day.
The image above is a helpful reminder for students about the easiest/quickest order for them when they are putting on their outdoor clothing. Practicing at home is always helpful -and can be fun too! You can play beat the clock or beat your fastest time!
Please remember to label all your children's items. (As a parent, I have found the Avery Fabric labels helpful - as it is often hard to find a good spot on the clothing to write my children's names. You can buy those labels, or similar versions, at places like Walmart, Target or Amazon).
Please reach out to our social worker, Ms. Willemarck, if you are in need of any winter items.
***If your child has out grown any waterproof winter gloves, and you would like to donate them, please send them to school with your child and we will pass them along to someone who can use them.***
