Princi-Val Notes
Week 2 (August 6-10)
Faculty Meeting, Tuesday, August 7, 2018
I just wanted to thank everyone for a great start to the new year. (We will be taking a group picture at 7:45). I honestly can't remember a year that has started so smoothly. Kudos to all of you for being so prepared and ready for the year. I loved seeing you out in the hallways to greet students in the morning. Our students already know they are loved!
Here are few ways to challenge yourself to be positive and be merchant of hope for every student! (Culturize--Jimmy Casas)
1. Bring your best to work everyday. (Be grateful we get the opportunity to make a positive impact each day.)
2. Give two minutes of your time to one student and one staff member everyday.
3. Be empathetic. (Take the time to listen, understand share and be sensitive to another person's feeling's).
4. Value the mistakes of others. (Risk takers are born here).
5. Model forgiveness. (Most people's intentions are good).
Rita Sanders first day in 4th grade this year was tough! Thankfully, she is on the mend. We hope week two for you isn't so painful.
Check out this throw back to Sesame Street! But, look at the instruments they are using! Elementary classroom instruments!
