Principal's Message
Hello Bulldog Families,
As Ms. Davis announced in last month’s Bulldog Bark she has retired from being a Principal and working in Pasco County schools for 36 years. There are no words to describe the impact that she has made as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal through those years. Ms. Davis will always have a special connection to Raymond B. Stewart Middle School where she started her career as a teacher and ended her career as a Principal.
I am blessed and grateful that I had the opportunity to work under Ms. Davis for the last 4 and a half years and now have the opportunity to assume the leadership role as Principal at Stewart Middle School. I am currently in my 19th year working for Pasco County Schools. During that time I have served as an athletic coach, teacher, academic coach, and assistant principal. The majority of that time was spent on the East side of the county working at Pasco Middle, Stewart Middle, and Centennial Middle Schools. I also spent a short time at River Ridge Middle School on the West side of the county. I had the privilege to attend and graduate as a Bulldog from Zephyrhills High School where I was able to become familiar with the Zephyrhills area and community.
I am very excited about taking over the reins and leading Stewart Middle School forward to be a school where we strive for all students to learn in a safe and compassionate environment that also challenges students to be better learners and meet their academic potential. I believe strongly in building and fostering our parent partnerships, it takes the school and parents working together so that our students can be the best and achieve the best.
Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter and being our partner in your child’s education.

Welcome 2 New Assistant Principals
It is an honor to introduce 2 assistant principals that our joining our Bulldog Admin team and working with our students. Mr. Charles Yingling will be taking over as the 8th grade assistant principal. Mrs. Deborah Collin is taking over as our 6th grade assistant principal. Both Mr. Yingling and Mrs. Collin join us with a plethora of educational and real-life experiences, knowledge, and wisdom. Please join me in welcoming them both to the Bulldog Family.
Deborah Collin started working for Pasco County School District in the fall of 1999 when she graduated with her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education at the University of South Florida. Mrs. Collin taught middle school 6th grade science and 6th grade math at Thomas E Weightman Middle School from 1999 until she moved to John Long Middle School in 2006 where she taught 6th, 7th[DAC1] , and 8th grade math. Mrs. Collin earned her Master’s in Education Leadership at the University of South Florida and moved into an Assistant Principal position at John Long Middle school in 2012. Currently, Mrs. Collin is the 6th grade assistant principal at Raymond B Stewart Middle School. Mrs. Collin is married to Alex Collin and together they raised 5 children in the Pasco County School district, all graduates of Wesley Chapel High School. Mrs. Collin’s children were all very involved in various clubs and sports through their years in Pasco County Schools. Mrs. Collin’s children all attended the University of South Florida with her youngest child still attending in her junior year. Mrs. Collin has 5 grandchildren that live in Oklahoma and Utah. She has not only appreciated what Pasco County School District provided her children through-out their school years but takes great pride in being employed by Pasco County School District.
Mr. Yingling is from Tampa and currently lives in Wesley Chapel with his wife and 2 teenage children. He enjoys traveling with his family and is an avid sports fan. Go Bucs, Lightning, Rays, and Bulls! Mr. Yingling worked with the Boys and Girls club of America before becoming a teacher with Pasco County Schools. This is his 12th year with the Pasco County School District and is excited to be morphing from a Wildcat to a Bulldog!

Notification of Inspection for Asbestos Containing Materials in Public Schools
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a final rule, 40 CFR Part 763, Asbestos Containing Material in schools, commonly referred to as AHERA. This rule requires all Local Education Agencies (LEA’s) to identify asbestos containing materials (ACM) in their school buildings and to take appropriate actions to control the release of asbestos fibers.
All inspections for Raymond B. Stewart Middle School have been completed and a Management Plan describing the results of the inspection and the action plan to control any asbestos found during the inspection, where applicable, has been submitted to the governor for approval. A copy of this plan is located in the administrative office of this school and at the Pasco County Schools Maintenance & Facility Services Department and is available for review upon request.
