Westwood Community Update
Covid-19 & School Closure Information - Volume 2
#WildcatPride
Making whatever connections we can with others during this time is so important! I have been so impressed with what I am seeing taking place online between our students and teachers. With just 9 days of 'distance learning' in place (Only 9?! Yes, only 9.), we have seen virtual classrooms popping up, with teachers connecting with students and parents, and students connecting with each other - continuing to build community and provide support. We are seeing more and more engagement every day, and are enjoying the creative efforts made by teachers, students, and parents! Some of us are literally 'Zooming' into each others' homes - what a wild time! If your child has not yet connected with his/her teacher, please click here for contact information. I will also be offering an opportunity for families to check in with me directly on Wednesday morning at 9:00am (more information below).
Please note that there are just 4 days of instruction left before we enter our Spring Break period. From April 3rd-12th, teachers will not be required to provide 'distance learning' lessons/activities for their students, as they turn their attention to their own families. We wish all of our Westwood families good health, peace, and joy during this time, and will look forward to reconnecting with you all on April 13th. Be well, Wildcats!
