SEPTA’s (Special Education PTA) first meeting of this school year is just around the corner!

at Memorial High School in the Media Room
Meeting Topic: Mandy VanVleet, ECASD Director of Special Education, will give an update on new Special Ed personal as well as changes occurring in the Special Education program in the ECASD. This is a great opportunity to hear about what’s new, meet new staff and new families.
To Infinity and Beyond: Preparing Adolescents to Launch into the Real World 2019 Fall Conference presented by the Autism Society of Greater Wisconsin "Taking into consideration that the adult world focuses on access rather than success, we’ll explore job coaching strategies for literal-minded individuals, strategies for becoming more independent, and how interventionists can help prepare our persistently self-protective/resistant students." | Community Conversation & Resource FairOctober 2, 2019 6:00-7:30 pm Florian Gardens, Eau Claire Free Admission Join the Autism Society of the Chippewa Valley for a night of networking, resource sharing, and lively discussion. The goal of the community conversation will be to discover what is going well for individuals and families affected by autism or other disabilities in the Chippewa Valley area and what could be going better. The information gathered will be used to guide local decision making and identify program priorities for the Autism Society. NAMI Chippewa Valley is offering its Family-to-Family Program to families, caregivers and friends of individuals with mental illness.
The course is designed to:
· help understand mental illness
· increase coping skills
· empower participants

Registration is now open for the 2019 Wisconsin Statewide Transition Academy on October 15th, held at the Wilderness Glacier Canyon Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells!
The Transition Academy events will be packed with information relating to all areas of transition. This conference is perfect for all, whether you are an educator, paraprofessional, parent, youth, or agency member.
