Big News for All Forsyth County Students!!
Dear Brookwood Parents,
Important Information About Our Event
Date: October 7, 2020
Time: 7:10-7:30 (Must be in school by 7:40)
Place: Nearby neighborhoods or Eastgate Church on Brookwood Road where parking will be available
Details: Walk to school from your neighborhood if you live nearby. If not, park at Eastgate Church and walk with your child to school. We will start walking at 7:10 and stop walking at 7:30 to ensure everyone get to school on time.
Safety: Police Officers and Teachers will be outside to help.
*We ask that you practice social distancing and encourage you to wear masks*
Here are some helpful tips for walking safely with your child:
- Never allow children under age 10 to cross streets alone. They may not understand how to cross safely.
- Always model and teach your child safe pedestrian behavior.
- Instruct children to look left, right, then left again when crossing streets, and to continue looking as they cross.
- Make sure children don't run into streets or dart from between parked cars.
- Require children to wear retroreflective materials and carry a flashlight at dawn, dust, and in bad weather.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Chad May at cmay@forsyth.k12.ga.us or Donna Feuerbach at dlfeuerbach@forsyth.k12.ga.us

The Nurtured Heart Approach
This fall we will be hosting Coffee and Conversations virtually. This first round we will be focusing on the Nurtured Heart Approach. During our conversations we will be exploring implementing the Nurtured Heart approach at home. The Nurtured Heart approach is a highly effective method used by parents and educators to help channel your child’s greatness. You will learn strategies to build positive relationships while establishing healthy boundaries and enforcing rules.
Join us as we explore the 3 stands of the Nurtured Heart Approach. Each week we will discuss a stand and how we can use it to support our children's success.
Stand 1 Absolutely No! (10/9) at 8:00 am
Stand 2 Absolutely Yes!(10/16) at 8:00 am
Stand 3 Absolutely Clear! (10/23) at 8:00 am
Brookwood teachers have been trained and are implementing this approach in our classrooms with great success. To register for this event please complete the form below.
