Learning Highlights Corporal Master Michael Barclay stopped by some classrooms before our Remembrance Day ceremony to share his knowledge and experiences. | School Council Meeting The next Parent Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, November 29th at 7:00pm. All are welcome to attend! | Christmas Giving St. Thomas is supporting Gifts for Grandparents, Coats for Kids, and the Christmas Bureau toy box. The Giving Tree is back as well, please consider taking a Tag home and purchasing a Walmart gift card in any denomination. |

Food Bank RaffleMrs. Babey is selling tickets for a chance to win a Cobra Kai T-shirt. All money raised will go to the foodbank. Tickets are 2 for $5 or 5 for $10. The last day to purchase tickets is on Tuesday, November 22nd. | Athletics Basketball Tryouts start next week with Senior Boys on Tuesday, November 18th @ 7:15am (doors open at 7:00) and Senior Girls on Wednesday, November 19th @ 3:30pm. Please see the gym calendar for all tryout times including Junior tryouts. The City of Red Deer has notified us that residential snow plowing began on November 14th. We are sharing this information with you as we ask that you please take time to talk with your child(ren) about safety around heavy equipment. Children are naturally curious about the equipment, but it is very dangerous for them to be close to the machinery while it is operating. We want to ensure safety to and from school for our students and want to discourage congregating along the roadways at drop off and pick up times as this increases risk.
