Eagles Are Back! District Welcomes Students In-Person & Virtually for Start of 2020-2021 School Year

What a great first day in Argyle ISD!

The district welcomed back students for the start of the 2020-2021 school year on Monday, Aug. 17. Students returned to learning both in-person and virtually on all five campuses.

Monday marked the first time students were in classrooms since early March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The return to learning was much different from the traditional setting with several safety guidelines and procedures in place to help protect students and teachers.

"It was such an exciting day for our district," Argyle ISD Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright said. "To see our Eagle students learning together again both in-person and virtually was unforgettable. Our teachers and staff did a tremendous job implementing the health protocols to help our Eagles feel safe from the moment they got on the bus or walked inside their campus. I am so grateful for the hard work of our teachers and administrators throughout this process that led to an incredible first day."

Bus Afternoon Arrival Times Update for Parents

Elementary buses are running about 15 minutes earlier than the current posted stop times in the afternoons. Please plan to meet your child's bus 15 minutes earlier than the posted time. This time adjustment has been due to the student loading process working much faster than anticipated.

We plan to have route times updated after the second week of school. Thank you very much for your patience and please remind your riders about wearing masks and using the provided hand sanitizer before boarding the buses.

It has been a thrill for our drivers to see our Eagle riders again!
