The following information sessions are available for Parents and Students with the Regional Coordinator to learn more about the upcoming 2021/22 Theme and the program offered with Academic Decathlon (9th-12th Grade) and Academic Pentathlon (6th-8th Grade) through the Independent Study Charter Schools:

MVA Virtual Clubs!

More information and club schedules will be emailed to you by your HST on Mondays.

There is no need to preregister your students; just show up. Make sure to check out the details regarding each club, so you know whether to gather any needed supplies. However, we have been reassured that if you do not have those supplies on hand; your student can still attend and will still be able to learn and enjoy.

We'll check out the amazing attractions here, from making our own chocolate bar, to riding the incredible trolley tour of the town of Hershey! We'll also check out some amazing shopping and other features that make this a wonderful place for a family visit!

Writer's Workshop

FREE Pre-recorded videos with LIVE Office Hours!

These writer's workshop videos are there for parents and teachers to use starting wherever you would like! If you need advice as to where to begin, feel free to email our amazing writing teacher at writersworkshop@pacificcoastacademy.org.

Then on Tuesdays and Thursdays, you and your student can join in the office hours to go over items! Again, you can email to ask questions or get help, etc.

  • Add/Drop Deadline: The deadline to add a course, drop a course, or change curriculum for high school was March 1. Please work closely with your HST to ensure course success.

  • BigFuture Days: Click here for more information on BigFuture Days, from College Board. College Board is hosting virtual events for high school students to connect directly with college admissions representatives and take action on the most important steps for college

  • The UCR Bourns College of Engineering and the UCR MESA Program invites all area kids, families and prospective students to an engaging and informative virtual event, our 2021 Engineering Showcase! Formerly the "Engineering Family Night," the event is an opportunity to inform you all about the college and the exciting things we do. It's a chance to learn about the engineering profession and what it takes to be an engineer. The event is free!   • Join the HQTs for an Edgenuity Extra. See the flyer here for more information and rsvp with the teacher leading the session. All high school students are welcome to attend.

Fully Accredited for Grades TK-9 by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

(As each year we add another grade level in high school, we anticipate full accreditation of grades TK-12 by 2023. Go MVA!)
