Ron Clark
On Wednesday during our ASCD share, we will watch short clips of ASCD general session speaker, Ron Clark. If you have never seen him speak before, here is a great video to watch if you have time!
Report Cards
Wed. March 13 ---- T2 Trimester Ends
Wed. March 27 ---- NYP Resolve Ends
Fri. March 29 @ 9 a.m. ---- Print Preview- ALL grades and comments MUST be entered
Mon. April 2 - Wed. April 3 ---- Corrections
Tues. April 2 ----- Review RC's at Faculty meeting
Thurs. April 4 ---- Grades made historical - No more changes
Fri. April 5 ---- Report Cards go home
- ALL grades and comments MUST be entered by 9 am on Fri. 3/29 @ 9 am. In the past, we didn't require teachers to have this for the first print, but now you must have this done before the initial soft save (now called Print Preview)
- Double and triple proofread that grades and comment are correct and align.
- Time will be devoted to our faculty meeting on 4/2 to review all areas of the report cards for discrepancies or red flags.
Social Emotional Learning
Harvard professor Stephanie Jones has developed more than 40 social and emotional learning "kernels" -- short, fast activities that allow teachers to easily deliver SEL lessons at any time. Jones says she is working with teachers to help refine the kernels, one of which is "belly breathing" to help students cope with stress and anxiety.
