Teachers attending Google Sites training should prepare by studying the Google Sites Training Guide on the RRISD Google Training Site. Begin with Creating a New Site, Adding a Page, Creating, Saving and Editing a Page Template. We will cover others during the training.

Mimio Training, Wednesday, August 21st

We have 14 new Mimio teach systems. Come to this Beginning Training and get started using Mimio. Come with ideas on an interactive lesson you would like to create using mimio. Bring your laptop and check for mimio software install.

Setting up Google Drive to use with Student GAFE accounts-Thursday, August 22nd,

We finally have Google Apps for Education (GAFE) for students. Are you ready to share docs with your students? They will be sharing them with you! Come learn how to organize your drive to share lessons, assignments and more with your students. Students will be trained on using GAFE when school starts. Every student will receive a Google account that includes gmail, drive, calendar and site.

Teachers attending this training should prepare by reviewing the Google Drive Tutorials on the RRISD Google Training Site. We will cover the Google Drive Interface, Folder/File Management and Google Forms.

Using GAFE in the Classroom-Friday, August 23rd

Tips on how to effectively use GAFE in the classroom. From collecting assignments to collaborating on projects, you will learn shortcuts and get ideas for using the GAFE tools with your students.
