If you were not able to attend Welcome Days, student schedules are now live in Infinite Campus. You can also stop by the office anytime next week to pick up your student's schedule or we will have them available during Open House.
Spiritwear items are in! They will be available during Open House or we will deliver them to the students during the first week of school.

Masks Will Be Optional for Students, Staff to Start School Year
At the July 26 regular Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Dr. Chris Briggs stated that masks will be optional for students and staff in Pickerington Schools’ buildings at the beginning of the 2021-22 school year.
“The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is recommending that staff and students who are not vaccinated wear a mask in the school buildings,” said Briggs. “As such, we continue to move forward with masks optional. While I am pleased to share that a large portion of our staff is vaccinated, we are establishing an environment that is ‘mask welcome’ for unvaccinated students and staff alike.”
Briggs also noted that while the district strongly recommends masks for the unvaccinated, students, staff and other persons entering the school will be on the ‘honor system.’ Click here for the full article

Administering Medications at School
Prescription medications
In the event your child needs to take prescription medication while at school, the Request for Administration of Medication by School Personnel form must be completed by the child’s physician and parents.
Prescription Administration Form
Nonprescription medication such as Advil, Tylenol, cough drops, etc. may be administered to students if the parent/guardian brings in the medication along with written permission for the medication to be given. All medications must be sent in the original container. Dosages cannot exceed the manufacturer’s recommendations for age and weight. We must have a note from the doctor to give a dose of medication that is different from the dose stated on the bottle.
NonPrescription Medication Form
***Both prescription and nonprescription medications must be brought to the school by a parent or guardian. You can drop off medications during welcome days on August 4th or 5th, during orientation on August 12th, or you can make arrangements by emailing melanie_thompson@plsd.us
Immunization Requirements
If any student has not yet received their mandatory TDaP/Meningococcal vaccinations, Harmon Middle School will be hosting immunization clinic on August 6th from 9am-2pm. Please see attached flyers for information.
IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS FOR 7TH GRADE/NEW STUDENTS
Remember that there is an immunization requirement for 7th graders. Tdap and Meningococcal are required before a student enters the junior high. The Ohio Department of Health provides the attached immunization summary for school attendance in Ohio. Please discuss this with your medical provider.
According to Board Policy 5320 and 5320 AG, immunizations in compliance with state law and the Ohio Department of Health are required for each student unless the parent(s) file an objection. The Board of Education also requires tuberculosis examinations in compliance with law.
Students new to Pickerington Schools must present written evidence of similar immunizations, or written evidence to indicate that they are in the process of receiving immunizations, to be completed no later than the day of entrance. Students failing to complete immunizations within 14 days after entering are not permitted to return to school.
The Franklin County Health Department offers immunization clinics throughout the school year. An up-to-date schedule is always available on the Franklin County Public Health website.
Immunization records can be dropped off at the school all summer. You do not have to wait until August to drop these off. Our office hours are 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Please pay your student's school fees from last year
All past student fees can be made online through Infinite Campus. Please click here to log in to Infinite Campus. If you are having issues or do not know your Infinite Campus login, please fill out a Help Desk ticket.
