NATIONAL BOARD STIPEND APPLICATION PROCESS OPENS FRIDAY
This year, teachers certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) will need to complete a brief online request for a stipend. This will help to maximize administrative resources at the school-, district- and state-levels, as well as allow more accurate and timely information to the state legislature for ongoing funding and program sustainability purposes. Only qualifying teachers who are employed in a public school, charter school or BOCES from Oct. 1, 2017, through May 1, 2018, are eligible. The application will be available Friday, Sept. 1, and will close on Sunday, Oct. 1. Applicants must have a current, valid NBPTS certificate in order to apply. If you are a NBPTS-certified teacher who was not notified, please login to your eLicensing account on or after Sept. 1, to complete an application. For more information, visit CDE's National Board certification webpage.
