Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...

the 3 R's are becoming more and more part of the ESM culture. A deeper look into composting by 4th graders is revealing more about how and what our students are eating. Pears were the biggest waste last week. Corn was the least. The big question around this information is "How do we reduce the amount of waste?". Our recycling initiative is also moving along with the delivery of classroom bins. These bins are meant to be the primary waste containers in the classrooms and hallways. How is your class doing?


Let's see those charts! Here, 1st grade took some time to review their measuring of shadows protocol as adults before they worked with their kids. If anyone would like to do an adult review, let me know!
