Columbia Central Weekly Bulletin
Week of February 19th
DR. CARNES
Just as a reminder, we don't have school on Monday, February 20, 2023 and we have a 1:00 pm early dismissal on Friday, February 24, 2023.
Trimester 2 ends this Friday, February 24, 2023. Please monitor the academic progress of your child and reach out to your child's teacher through a phone call or meeting if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's progress.
Historically, early dismissal days have proven to show poor attendance for our students. We have a Dough Not Miss Fridays initiative taking place every week. Remember, we have two boxes of a large variety of dough nuts that all students that attend school on Fridays have a chance to win. Our Big Prize attendance initiative continues as we head into the third week of the six week challenge. Students that have perfect attendance for a given week, are having a raffle ticket entered for a chance to win their choice of the four big prizes. For week two, 362 students had perfect attendance and had a raffle ticket entered into the drawing. See more information below regarding the BIG Prize attendance challenge.
Parent Night is taking place on Thursday of next week, March 2, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Columbia Central. This will provide an opportunity for you to learn more about supporting your child's positive body image and keeping your child safe when they are using social media. For more information, please check out the flyer below.
Let's have a great week at Columbia!
