Yearling Newsletter
January 11, 2020 Edition by Principal John A. Bojescul
Welcome to 2020!
We have already 'hit the ground running' with plans for our upcoming activities and events taking place this month. I met with our faculty this week and we reviewed our students' academic performance for the first semester, reviewed this data, and assessed what we need to continue to do to accomplish our campus goals for this school year. Our number one priority is academic achievement and we need to ensure that all of our students show growth in their classes. During this semester, we will need all of our students to critically focus on their core classes as we ramp up our instruction in pursuit of STAAR/EOC testing.
If your child needs course recovery, or tutoring for intervention and enrichment, please help us by ensuring that he/she attends all tutoring before and/or after school, and completes all the course recovery work needed to gain credit for that(those) class(es).
I look forward to a great start to the new year!

Garner's Rising Stars of the Month!
6th Kiera Hoppe - Always participates actively in class. She is the first to volunteer to help or ask how the teachers day is going. She always has a kind word for her fellow classmates.
7th Morgan Gutierrez - is a very reliable student. You never have to worry about her putting forth the effort necessary to complete any assignment placed before her. In addition, she is a very kind and patient student as well."
8th Temira Sherrod – As a student, she always gives her best efforts in class and continuously asks questions to further her understanding, but it is her kindness that makes her stand out from her peers. Temira is the first to help with any request, she will always reach out to talk with or speak to other students and can brighten anyone’s day with her cheery “Hello!” Temira is involved in multiple clubs and participates in many activities outside of her school day.
