SDDS Refer-a-family Bonus

SDDS has some spots to fill in our 2 - 5 year old classrooms and we want to reach out to you, our biggest fans, and reward you for your referrals. That’s right! When someone you refer enrolls at SDDS, you’ll receive a $250 discount on your next month’s tuition!

Our enrollment application now has a question added so your friends and neighbors can let us know you referred them to SDDS. Once they’ve enrolled, you’ll receive the discount for each family you referred after the end of their first month.

Now that more people are retuning to the office and looking for care, it’s a great time to let them know how wonderful it is to be part of our SDDS community! If you have questions about our new referral program, reach out to Leigh Moss for more info!

Dec 4 SDDS Community Event Kick Off

Wouldn't it be great if we could find ways to intentionally connect with our SDDS community outside of our school setting? This year, we will trial a monthly event, hosted each month by a different class, that our entire SDDS community can join in.

December our Admin team (Leigh, Collette and Kate) are kicking off our first ever SDDS Community Event by inviting all families to join up at the Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 5-8 pm.

If you're new to Austin or you've never been to this iconic event, the Downtown Holiday Stroll is where thousands of Austinites gather to celebrate the holidays downtown. The stroll is accompanied by live music, carol singing, and much more—including the downtown tree lighting.

This year’s Holiday Stroll in Austin will take place on Saturday, December 4, 2021 in partnership with KUT and KUTX with the traditional Sing-Along and downtown tree lighting from 5pm until 8pm.

SDDS families interesting in attending can park in the garage next to the church or join us in the surface parking lot at 5 pm. From there, we'll stroll together up Congress to the capital tree lighting. The event is free of charge and we hope it's a great way to bring our community together outside of school.

This is the first of many monthly community events so be on the lookout in December for an update on our January event to be hosted by one of our classroom communities.

NEW FEATURE ADDED TO BRIGHTWHEEL FOR PARENTS:

Just a reminder that you can now choose the icon to "add an activity" just as teachers do here at school. If needed, feel free to share information with your teachers if your child had a rough night's sleep, ate more or less than usual before school, or if you want us to keep an eye on a bump or bruise that may have happened at home. You're also welcome to just share a photo or short video from home if you'd like to share that with your child's teachers. We'd love to see what they're up to at home as well!

December Orders for Pizza Monday

We will have pizza lunches on all 3 school Mondays (11/29, 12/6 and 12/13) in December before Christmas break. Many of you have already ordered through 11/29. If you order for 5 weeks instead of 1, we'll make sure it carries over into January.

We're also making sure to keep track of absences so if your child missed a Monday due to an absence, they can reserve that unused week for the next Monday they're in school. Leigh will be getting in touch with families this week to let you know how many weeks you've got left if you prepaid in Oct or Nov.
