Modified Spring Sports start 4/10/23!
Please be sure to register for the season ASAP so that we can let you know if a sports physical will be required for sports clearance.
If your child has any PE or athletic restrictions, they will need to be cleared by their medical provider to participate.
Any student who has been approved by the school nurse and your medical provider to self-carry emergency medication (such as an inhaler or Epi-Pen) is reminded to do so for sports participation.
Please talk to your coach about where you store your emergency medication during athletic events and practices.
For any student moving up to the JH in the fall, please keep in mind that all students entering 7th grade will need to have their meningitis vaccine and a 7th-grade physical.
Thank you.

8th Grade Tech
8th Grade Tech finished up their Civil Engineering Unit in March and tested pasta bridges for structural efficiency. We made our goal of breaking the previous record, with one team a super high ratio of 84.25:1 (85x its own weight). This particular pasta bridge weighed 5 ounces and supported nearly 28 lbs before it gave way!
The group is now learning how to harness kinetic energy to their will by creating their own occupant safety systems! The challenge is to engineer a vehicle that will protect an Egg-cited passenger in a series of crash tests!

News:
Mr. Blasko recently received a $100 Grant-in-Aid Award from Delta Kappa Gamma’s Beta Chapter, which will be used to offset personal costs in building a Downdraft Sanding Table for his classroom. This will significantly aid in reducing the amount of sawdust particulates in the classroom air…a big improvement for student wellbeing! Thank you DKG!
