Getting to and From School
Message to Parents Picking up their Child Daily
As you know, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students return to in-person learning Tuesday, October 13th. As of now we have just over 90 students who will be parent pick up and the front of our school will become congested during this time. As as reminder to the adults picking up students from school, you must park on the school side of the street. We are asking the adults to drive all the way down to the playground end of the street, that way we are able to utilize the entire space on that side of the road. If you get to the school and there is a line, please wait. As students come out, cars will leave and you will be able to move down. Please DO NOT get out of your cars. Families who do not have their QR codes, you will get them on Tuesday. Please make sure you bring an ID and appreciate your patience as we move through this new way of dismissing our students.
Thank you,
Mrs. Hopkins and Miss Modelane
Important School Forms
Daily Wellness Check for In Person Students
With our 3, 4, & 5th grade students joining our 2nd grade students, it is more important than ever to fill out the daily wellness check. Please keep Callahan healthy and open.
Daily Wellness Check-Each parent must complete the daily mandatory wellness check through Skyward for each child they are sending in person. This attestation has to be filled out daily in Skyward. This is a requirement for students to attend in person school. Even if your child attends BEC you still need to fill one out for the Burrillville School District. THIS IS NOT OPTIONAL FOR STUDENTS JOINING US IN PERSON.
Forms To be Filled Out(before students enter building)
Parent Pick Up Form- Please fill out this form if you will be driving your child to and from school daily. We need this information for QR codes for each child. This already came out earlier but many people have not filled it out yet. Please contact us if you have any questions about daily Parent Pick Up.
Student Health Form-Please update your child’s health information for our school Nurse. These forms will not be coming home on paper this year and need to be filled out electronically. You need to fill out this form for each child you have in our school. Please contact the school Nurse if you have any questions at: wincha@bsd-ri.net PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ONLY HAVE 123 RESPONSES OUT OF 332 STUDENTS IN OUR SCHOOL. PLEASE FILL THIS FORM OUT. THANK YOU!

Burrillville Technology Assistance
TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
We have updated our Technology Support web page. At dl.bsd-ri.net/technology, you can find:
- Updated information on our Tech Drive-Thru, including hours and (slightly different) location
- A Google Account Password Reset form so you can request Google Account password resets for your student
- A "Device Issue" form for problems with their Chromebooks
LOANER CHROMEBOOKS:
There have also been some questions about families who did not pick up Chromebooks but now want them. We still have them available. If you would still like to borrow a Chromebook, please fill out the Elementary Chromebook Loaner Agreement. The Technology Department will bring a Chromebook and charger to your student's school for you to pick up at the school's Main Office.
STUDENT ACCOUNTS and PASSWORDS:
A student's Google account is their "OtherID@students.bsd-ri.net". The "OtherID" is their student ID number in our student information system. As an example, if Joey Smith's OtherID number is 123456, his Google account would be 123456@students.bsd-ri.net. If you or your student don't know what his or her student ID number is, you can find it in Skyward Family Access under "Student Info". For more information on Skyward Family Access, please see our Skyward website.
If your student doesn't know or remember their it, please direct them to the dl.bsd-ri.net/technology page for the password reset form. For security, your email address on the password reset form must match one we have on file for your student. Also, please keep in mind that resetting these passwords is a manual process so be patient while we get to them.
If your student sees a message that their account cannot be found, it means that their account has not bee requested by the school's secretary. Please contact the school secretary for assistance.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Good luck to everyone this year! We're here to help! We only ask for your patience as we address everyone's concerns.
Thank you!
