Book Review by Skyler DeShields
So the story takes place right where the first book left off ( keeping note that this series is set in the future ), so if you haven't read the first book, then I highly recommend you reading the first book in the series, Legend. The two main characteres, Day and June are credible because they are love birds from the first book.So the book starts out with Day and June on their way to find the Patriots and to see if they can find Day's younger brother, Eden. They meet up with the Patriots and in order to find his brother, they owe the Patriots a favor. They are assigned to kill the Elector Primo, and they use June as the bait. They use Day as a runner for the Patriots. He has to be my personal favorite character because he is very athletic and very good with the ladies. Will they successfully assassinate the new Elector Prime? Will they ever find Eden? You will have to read the book to find out the best cliffhanger ever!
I couldn't really relate myself to any of the characters, but if I had to be anyone, it would be Day. He is just so popular, charming, athletic, and all around a friendly character, if you are on his good side. What me and him kinda relate to is he was crazy about June and when I was younger, I had girls I was crazy about. The book in my opinion is a very good book. My favorite part of the book is all of the action packed moments. My least favorite parts is when they go way too far into detail and characters ramble on about nonsense. If I had to change something, it would be the ending because it's the saddest ending I have ever read.
My recommendation for this book simple, you have got to read this book and series. If you like just an action packed and drama filled book that is such an easy read the majority of the time, then I highly recommend this book for you.
