Hi Aspen Families!
Here are some updates and important information:
Recess Zones Update
Starting Monday we will no longer have recess zones. This decision was made after monitoring our current practices, COVID cases and safety protocols, and in alignment with the practices of many surrounding school districts. We will make and communicate any adjustments based on updated health/safety requirements and COVID case information. Students will continue to each lunch at designated tables with students from their class.
Parking Lot Reminders
Here are some reminders to assist us in keeping our students safe in the parking lot:
- Stay in the right hand lane, move all the way forward, and ONLY drop your student off from the right side of the vehicle .
- Do not allow your child to walk unattended between cars.
- Never leave your vehicle unattended in the drive-thru lanes.
- Do not block intersections along Oberlin Avenue while waiting to enter the parking lot.

Harvest Festival a Big Success!
A big thank you to all of the volunteers, to those who donated prizes and baked goods, and for all of the families who attended this event. It was so wonderful to have Harvest Festival back on campus after a year off due to the shutdown. To see so many people connecting in person with new and old friends, families, teachers, and classmates was amazing! We could not have done it without you! Special thanks to our Harvest Festival committee chairs Alison Friedman and Sheridan Kahn. They did an awesome job! Thank you to Mr. Craven and the 5th grade teachers who volunteered to be in the dunk tank and hit with cream pies! We appreciate your willingness to take part in Harvest Festival!
We hope you enjoyed this event and look forward to seeing you next year!
Red Ribbon Week
Thank you to our Red Ribbon Week (RRW) Committee for making the week special and unique for every roadrunner. It was a ton of fun to see the kids dress every day to represent kindness, health, and happiness. For everyone who participated, helped to create the cute handprints on the fence, did the at home challenges, and more, we had a fantastic week. The kids enjoyed the martial arts presentation that spoke to thinking positivity, being kind, inclusive, and to making healthy choices.
We could not have done it without you! Special thanks to our RRW committee chairs Jasmine Nottingham, Claudia Sidoti and Amy Martinez. They did an awesome job! Thank you to Mr. Craven and all teachers and staff who helped support their efforts!
We hope you and your students enjoyed this event!
