A Message from Mrs. Ryan & Mrs. Farris

Dear Walker Families,

We are ready for the eight week of school! Thank you for your continued partnership!

This week we have hat day, school pictures, and our first remote learning day. Tuesday, October 13th is hat day. Wear a hat to school to support Metavivor. Picture day is on Wednesday, October 14th, and on Thursday, October 15th for blended Tuesday & Thursday students. If you would like to order a package of your child's school pictures, you can do so by either returning the form sent home or going online to Lifetouch.com. Our school code to order pictures is EVT2XW376. Then Friday, October 16th all students will be working at home as we practice our first day of remote learning. All students will be bringing home their device (iPads or Chromebooks) to work on for remote learning days. No students will be on campus on remote learning days. If you need any help while your child is working remotely, you may contact your child's teacher by email. Monday, October 19th will be our second remote learning day where students again will be working from home.

Parents, we would like to remind you that Arkansas state law prohibits cell phone use in school zones while students are present. Please refrain from using cell phones while driving by our campus and in the car rider line during drop off or pick up. Thank you for helping us keep students and teachers safe.

If you would like for your child to get a flu shot at school on October 22nd, don't forget to return the forms that were sent home.

Thank you for partnering with us for your child's education. We are here for your child each and every day. If there is a question, concern, or even an idea to share, please reach out to your child's teacher or to either one of us. Please read the newsletter below for important updates and changes happening at Walker and in the Springdale School District. We look forward to a great 2020-2021 school year.

Thank you,

Mrs. Lynn Ryan, Principal, lryan@sdale.org

Mrs. Carrie Farris, Assistant Principal, cfarris@sdale.org

A Message from Mrs. Ryan & Mrs. Farris en español

Gracias,

Sra. Lynn Ryan, Directora, lryan@sdale.org

Sra. Carrie Farris, subdirectora, cfarris@sdale.org
