As a school, we will be focusing on kindness and gratitude month. We will take time to recognize all the reasons we have to be grateful while practicing being kind to others. We will continue to build upon the teamwork theme of last month. We are thankful for our West Utica families.

We also celebrated our veterans this week by placing flags around the outside of the school and completing a variety of activities within the classrooms. We are thankful to our veterans and their families.

If you received an invitation from your child's teacher at conferences for our extended day enrichment, please return the form to your child's teacher.

Please be sure to read through the entire newsletter, so that you receive all the important information!

Drop Off: Building doors are open until 9:20 in the morning. Please do not drop children off before 9:10. The weather is getting colder, and students are not permitted in the building until 9:15. Please consider waiting in your car if you arrive early. Additionally, it is not safe for them to be outside without adult supervision. Teachers are not outside until 9:10. If you are arriving late, please take your child to the main office.

Pick Up: Students are dismissed at 4:10, It is important to maintain patience during our drop off and pick up. Please try to keep the field entrance clear for those who would like to park on the field. If you prefer to park on the field, please consider arriving early.

Please make every effort to be on time, so that our main office can run efficiently. There are too many students waiting in the office at the end of the day. For parents who may need assistance with childcare please call SACC at 586-797-6980.

K-2 Parents: Please be sure you are parking only in the main parking lot. 3rd-6th grade Parents: PLEASE BEGIN YOUR PICK- UP LINE AT THE CROSSWALK IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. NOONE SHOULD BE PARKING OR WAITING FOR CHILDREN IN THE DRIVING LANES. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our children safe and the traffic flowing smoothly.
